Late 1990s – Early 2000s: The foundational era. My creative work centers on early photographic explorations of Western tropes, marking the birth of my ongoing fascination with toy figures and studio still lifes.
The Intervening Decades: A deep dive into the design world. I build a career in commercial and hospitality interior design, project management, and leadership roles, earning my NCIDQ certification, and holding an Arizona residential contractor license, while creating scale models that explored the mundane suburban experience, photographing them and exploring the perceived human scale of an image.
2025: A massive turning point. At fifty years old, a casual question from my young son asking what I wanted to be when I grew up completely reframes my sense of time and artistic authorship.
Present Day: A full-circle resurgence. Unearthing old studio boxes bridges decades of work, igniting a fresh wave of physical installations, contemporary exhibitions like Electric Frontier, and digital storytelling that proves our past artifacts are always talking to our present.
